It's important to remember that we are humans as well.  We (police officers) too make mistakes.  I don't think we're looked at as human beings.  We're looked at as people in a blue uniform who are totally different from the people we're dealing with, and we're not.  We're exactly the same as the people we're dealing with.  We just have a job that affects everybody in how we do our job.
